We built CleanLinkr with your privacy in mind. Here’s what we do (and don’t do) with your data.
What We Don’t Do
- ❌ We don’t track you across the web.
- ❌ We don’t use cookies.
- ❌ We don’t store the URLs you paste.
- ❌ We don’t log your IP address or personal information.
We process your links in memory, clean them, and discard them; we don’t store the links you paste or associate them with you.
For preview purposes, we may cache non-personal metadata (like title and image) keyed by the cleaned URL, but this is separate from any user data and not linked to you.
What We Do
- ✅ We strip tracking parameters from URLs.
- ✅ We optionally fetch page previews (title, image, description).
- ✅ We use a lightweight cache to reduce redundant preview requests.
The cache stores preview metadata like title and image, keyed by the cleaned URL; but no personal data or user behavior is stored with it.
Ads and Analytics
We may display ads to help support the site.
To stay aligned with our privacy values:
- We choose privacy-conscious ad platforms whenever possible (e.g. Carbon Ads, EthicalAds).
- Ads are not personalized based on your browsing history.
- We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking tools.
- We do not share your information with third parties.

Third-Party Links
CleanLinkr lets you share links, but we don’t control what happens after that.
Please be aware that the sites you visit may have their own privacy policies and tracking practices. We recommend using a browser extension like uBlock Origin if you want additional protection.
